Suburban Malaise.
It’s been a week and I’m getting all moody & existential.
My dad is in hospice a few neighborhoods away and his wife doesn’t want anyone to go over. It’s disappointing and complicated, but understandable. We’re in a massive pandemic and my father is frail. Since Victor & I have been traveling so much this past year, I haven’t seen my pops or a lot of folks on the regular.
Will he live to see the end of this crisis? Will I?
I consider myself an introvert and love solitary activities, because my creative practice flourishes when I’m alone. To keep balance between these artistic spurts, I have a mental health protocol that has now been interrupted:
Have I eaten?
Have I slept?
Have I exercised?
Have I bathed?
I used to swim to keep my exercise up and liberate my body from stress. I’m sure many of you have delighted in the mind-clearing meditation that physical activity provides. But all the gyms are closed due to the CabronaVirus, including my access to a pool.
So now all I have is yoga & meditation. Along with gardening, these have been my lifelines.
Online yoga videos have been a godsend.
And as cheesy as it sounds, Deepak Chopra/Oprah Winfrey have an app that’s a great meditation tool. There’s all these great 21 day theme programs like “Getting Unstuck” or “Become What You Believe.” The app always has a free meditation cycle going. Before the pandemic hit the Americas, I completed their “Perfect Health” meditation.
Hmmmm, did Deepack and Oprah know Coronavirus was on the horizon and that’s why they offered their health meditation prior to the COVID hitting the United States? It’s a conspiracy!
Lolz. I’m actually really grateful. Now they have a free 21 day meditation called “Hope In Uncertain Times.” So timely. Try it.
And while we are on the topic of meditations and conspiracies. Many conspiracy giants (like Cobra, David Wilcock, Laura Eisenhower and others) are uniting to promote a Global Meditation on April 4th at 10:45pm Eastern Time. Check it out:
Sending y’all Love & Light!
