Another member is gracing our vida with his knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Producer\/Director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdb.org\/artists\/isaac-artenstein\">Isaac Artenstein<\/a> is lecturing to our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.masamedia.org\/\">Media Arts Santa Ana<\/a> MILPA (Millennial Producers Academy) today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"742\" height=\"960\" src=\"http:\/\/pocharte.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/MILPA-Isaac.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-306\" srcset=\"http:\/\/pocharte.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/MILPA-Isaac.jpg 742w, http:\/\/pocharte.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/MILPA-Isaac-232x300.jpg 232w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 742px) 100vw, 742px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Isaac is an award-winning producer who&#8217;s first feature film &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0099176\/\">Break of Dawn<\/a>&#8221; was about Mexican-American radio trailblazer, <a href=\"http:\/\/frontera.library.ucla.edu\/blog\/2016\/11\/artist-biography-los-madrugadores-de-pedro-j-gonz%C3%A1lez\">Pedro J. Gonzalez<\/a>. He went on to do a ton of documentaries, tv series, and the camp indie hit &#8220;A <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A_Day_Without_a_Mexican\">Day Without A Mexican<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"A Day Without a Mexican\" width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kfid48rlQoc?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Isaac also used to run a legendary micro-cinema and cultural cafe, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/archives\/la-xpm-1992-11-02-ca-988-story.html\">Cafe Cinema<\/a> in San Diego. They used to screen my art videos in the mid-90&#8217;s and it&#8217;s where I first met my husband, <a href=\"https:\/\/victorpayan.com\/bio\">Victor Payan<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s fun to see how this friendship has come full circle. Payan and I have a media non-profit in Orange County and we&#8217;re presenting Isaac, our longtime production mentor to our students.
